ABOUT MANUFACTURING & ENGINEERING

The division has three primary business segments:
1) Lubricants
2) Auto components
3) Aerospace.

UMW blends, markets and distributes Pennzoil, Repsol and UMW's own in-house brand, Grantt lubricants and has blending plants both in Malaysia and China.

Our Auto Components business segment designs, manufactures and supplies parts and components to the automotive industry - we are one of the leading suppliers of OEM and replacement automotive products in Malaysia while KYB-UMW Group manufactures high-quality shock absorbers and hydraulic power-steering pumps and systems.

The division's recent expansion into the aerospace industry upon the award of a long term contract with Rolls-Royce Plc marks UMW's migration from labour intensive production into high value manufacturing. UMW is currently the first Malaysian-owned company to achieve a Tier 1 aerospace engine component manufacturer status from Rolls-Royce.
